That said, it is the exact same street location regardless of the surroundings and shot from a near identical angle/perspective (see above). The building highlighted in "white" - is one of the major indicators, as is the yard next to it.
You can also partially make-out the last few letters of the "Sharky's" header signage. The coffee shop is where Bill reads about dead (hooker/fashion model) Mandy. The actor Vitali (who plays 'fashion connected' Red Cloak) will briefly be seen getting out of a taxi cab at this same location (while Bill is being followed by another man), just before Bill buys the paper. It is DEFINITELY an 'unmasked' Vitali, of that there is no doubt. The taxi that Red Cloak/Vitali exits is the exact same one that (earlier) took Bill to Rainbow Fashions and the Somerton (orgy) - plate #79M6. It also the cab that takes him back to drop off his used costume (daytime), and the same one that drops Bill off at Domino's (2nd visit with cake).
Bill tries to hail Vitali's cab (after he gets out and quickly vanishes), but it goes "off-duty".
There's even a pushed/hurried and then 'contact with cars' echo (Yale/Vitali cab scenes) at literally the precise same location point, but given from a differing angle. Bill then slips into Sharky's and reads about the death of Mandy, which mentions Vitali (Red Cloak), and their 'fashion connection'. The newspaper article states that he's a fashion designer. Kubrick has deliberately used Red Cloak Vitali's (real) name in the article - this won't be a mere arbitrary choice and it speaks volumes in the overall scheme of things.
It's all so subtly done, that you barely notice - until you start paying attention and combining all the deep-embedded elements. So, why have Red Cloak get out of a cab just outside Sharky's, and just before Bill reads about Mandy Curran's death? I very much doubt that it's due to the lack of another available 'walk on part' actor. Wink-wink.
Rainbow Fashions and Sharky's (coffee shop) = Same building.
The more I look at this film - the more I am starting to think that Rainbow Fashions and Sharky's are THE SAME BUILDING, albeit a building with mass augmentation, likewise with the surrounding sets. The two buildings are structurally the same. A small (4-stepped) staircase to the door (followed with a similar internal staircase) and the upper section with 4 large front windows and a stair-accessed pavement/lower section. It's also the second shop from the corner. Too many commonalities to ignore.
At Sharky's (via Yale boys) - the lower section paving area (of Rainbow Fashions) has been rail fenced and on a surround base. Note the lower/upper floor dividing fascias too - very similar.
We know the store next to the Yale boys is Sharky's (we saw the sign etc). In the actual (later) Sharky's visit by Bill (shot below), the railing and base is obscured by the decorations. Sharky's lower/upper level fascia separator is also different - Yale scene/Bill's visit. In the shot below, the fascia now protrudes, the stair rail is also slightly different. I am sure that all 3 buildings are THE SAME though (outward appearance - at least).

(top right) You can clearly see an augmented Rainbow Fashions store front - the rainbow arc is blacked-out, an empty shop window. Bill, raises and lowers the 'black rainbow arc' costume bag just as the shop comes into view - which seems very purposeful and significant, considering it's a missing element of the sign.
There are a few other changes (between day/night time scenes) to shop fronts/signage - CP Auto (near Bill's head) is one example. When Bill first gets out of the cab (in this above scene) it stops right outside Rainbow Fashions (you can see the stairs to the door), Bill then immediately crosses the street.

The hotel where we're told that "bruised cheek" Nick has "checked out" (more than one meaning, to check out, slang - death) and where he was (forcibly) removed by two men. Nick arriving at the hotel at 4:30 am.
At the (lavender/purple) Hotel with his 'rainbow bag' and the overtly gay desk clerk (Alan Cumming). If you look carefully, you can see the word 'ass' (from br-ass-erie) in the background window. :) Bill: "When did he check out?" desk clerk: "About 5:00 this morning." Bill: "That's an early checkout, isn't it?" desk clerk: "It is a little on the early side, yeah." - A very similar construct to Mandy at her hotel (with two men) and on the same night/early morning (around 4:00 am, the same time that Bill returns home), after which she is found dead. The corner "Hardware Paints" store is common to both. It's the exact same shop (we see it reflected in shop windows as Bill heads to the hotel) and situated on the corner (just as it is, as the cab approaches Domino's). It looks like the Brasserie (mentioned just before via Nick's Hotel window) is now situated where the Knish Bakery is, with the Lotto shop next door, and then Domino's. We should be able to see the stores (directly opposite) next to Domino's thru the Hotel window.

I think the street is called "Pitman" or is off-Pitman? The "CP Auto" sign in the background also clues us in to the location. You can make-out the rainbow store (with bluish light). It also looks in an 'undressed state' - no sign and empty top window etc. It's DEFINITELY the Rainbow Fashions store (shell, at least) in all these three images (I've thoroughly checked this). The balcony on the corner building (next to Rainbow Fashions) is a good marker guide too.
The later (daytime) shot - reproduced for reference. The same CP Auto is to the left of Bill's head, 'undressed' rainbow store (right). The real "head fuck" - is that Gillespie's and Sonata Jazz are not on the opposite side of the street in the Domino (with CP Auto) night shots. They are in the (Milich) rainbow store visit (at night), or as in the Bill day shot (with CP Auto) immediately above! With Domino, it looks as though a 'pizzeria' (pizza-gate) is where Gillespie's sits, and the 'XXX video' (triple X) store occupies the place of Sonata Jazz. The opposite side of the street in Domino/Bill's night shot is totally different. Kubrick has had a lot of fun manipulating all this street/store scenery. All in all, something to wrap your head around. You'll need to spend some time and effort absorbing and thinking through all these elements, believe me!

An "undressed" Rainbow Fashions is seen in the shot with Domino/Bill street crossing (bottom left). The (later occurring) Return to Domino's suggests that - her apt, the Lotto Store and Knish Bakery, occupy what we see (in two other shots) as the general Rainbow Fashions store area. All these scenes/aspects have been multi-overlaid and in conjunction with the mass manipulation of the shooting set.

We've had Rainbow Fashions and Sharky's as the same building (internally and externally). Domino picking-up Bill on Rainbow Fashion's street, and where in one aspect she lives just around the corner. Orgy Mandy connected Vitali/Red 'orgy' Cloak exiting a cab outside "Mandy death revealing" Sharky's. On top of that, we've had Nick's hotel (which in one aspect should've been) opposite Domino's building, again - placing it just around the corner from Rainbow Fashions. We saw (via reflected window) Sonata 'orgy revealing' Jazz and next-door Gillespie's - just opposite Rainbow Fashion's, and with an unnecessary cab journey to reach the latter destination. A day and night "undressed/rainbow arc missing" version of Rainbow Fashions. A number of taxi journeys in the same cab #79M6 (Rainbow Fashions twice, Somerton, Domino second visit etc), but he also misses this same one when Vitali/Red Cloak exits. The 'abusive' Yale Boys ultimately walking Sharky's 'death' street, or is it Rainbow "I promise I'll kill you" Fashions street? God knows how many completely altered shops and premises! Not forgetting - the Allday Hardware (Muralo) Paints store as an 'anchor point' to unlock it all. Etc etc. It's like everything is taking place in the same spot or general geographical location, but with huge visual differences (camouflage) disguising the fact. There's a multi-superimposition of so many of these aspects, just as there is with the film's characters too. Something to make your head spin!

Neither character are seen again. We're informed that Domino has HIV (originally viewed as a type of gay-related death plague), Mandy (at the elite orgy) is led away by a figure that resembles a (beaked/billed) 'plague doctor', Bill is an actual doctor. The girl at Domino's apartment is called 'Sally' - which is also a slang term for an effeminate boy or man. I've extensively covered Cruise's (overt and crypto) 'career gay symbolism' in other posts. All these females (and scenes) - Mandy, Lolita/M Butterfly (at Rainbow Fashions), Domino and Alice, overlap in many ways (via dream logic, pre-cognition, avatars, identity switching/overlaps etc). In support of the idea that both Alice and the Rainbow Fashions (Lolita) attend (or who are at least symbolically connected to) the Somerton elite orgy - can be gleaned from Wolfgang Glück's (1969) TV/film Traumnovelle (set in Venice, as per book). She eventually meets a very wealthy/powerful and connected (but dangerous) man and is soon implicated in a murder when a dead body is found. All the characters, scenes and (stealth) aspects, just seem to keep stacking on top of each other - no pun intended.

The balcony on the corner building (next to Rainbow Fashions) is a good marker guide too.
The later (daytime) shot - reproduced for reference. The same CP Auto is to the left of Bill's head, 'undressed' rainbow store (right). The real "head fuck" - is that Gillespie's and Sonata Jazz are not on the opposite side of the street in the Domino (with CP Auto) night shots. After writing this piece, I was for some reason reminded of the case of the film industry-linked Menendez brothers, Erik and Lyle. The two young men who murdered both their parents in 1989. Their Hollywood executive father - Jose Menendez, was (during the 1980s) formerly an executive for RCA (record division, he signed the Eurythmics, Duran Duran etc). He subsequently worked for Live Entertainment (LE), a division of the hugely successful Carolco Pictures, the company that produced the Rambo films of Sylvester Stallone, as well as some of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s action films. Jose's tenure at LE was a very successful one. Jose was a member of the Board of Directors of Carolco until August 1989.
Just by way of interest, Carolco would produce Schwarzenegger's Total Recall (1990).
I recently noted 'butterfly references' within Verhoeven's film, ones literally connected to 'mind control' (via Rekall).
Carolco were also involved with Stone's The Doors (monarch Morrison) film.
